The Terrace


Do you take reservations?
We would be happy to take your reservation for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner in our main dinning room. The Sung and all three of our patios (Front, Courtyard and Terrence) are managed on a first come first served basis.

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes, in any denomination, please stop by the pub during regular hours.

Dress code?
Absolutely none.

What is the chef’s name?
Martin Hendrie

Where did the Chef cook before?
After Working at the prestigious One Michelin started 1 Lombard Street in London England, Martin moved to Toronto and over the next ten years built a life and career in Canada, that included   senior management position at The Boulevard Club and Montecito from where he joined the management team at the Oxley.

Who designed the pub?
Elisa Sauvé

How many seats does the restaurant have?
About 120 inside and 120 outside.

What about large parties?

The Oxley can seat complete tables of 6 or less on a walk-in basis. Larger parties should contact us by phone. We do not take reservations on the front patios but do have options for party reservations on The Terrace. For sporting events and group bookings please call us directly.

Where can customers park?
Parking can be found in a parking garage just west of the pub.

Can we bring our children to the pub?
Absolutely! We’re delighted to have children.

Is there access for wheelchairs?
Unfortunately not inside, but there is room for wheelchairs on the front patio. There is no access to our washrooms as the washrooms are located upstairs and downstairs. There is one small step at the entrance to the front patio.

Is there WI-FI?
Yes, free WI-FI is available.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, Visa, MC, Amex and Direct Debit.

Our Food

What kind of food does the Oxley serve?
We encourage the use of easily sourced and traditional ingredients in the creation of creative menus that include British inspired dishes which are executed using classical french / European techniques.

Are there vegetarian dishes?
As all our menu items are produced by our kitchen team, we are able to accommodate any and all dietary  requirements.

At what time does the kitchen close?
The kitchen closes at 10pm Sunday & Monday, 11pm Tuesday & Wednesday, and 12am Thursday – Saturday.

What time do you serve brunch, lunch and dinner, and how many days a week?
We are open for lunch from Monday to Friday from 11:30am – 3pm.
Our Dinner menu starts at 3pm each day, running until 10pm Sunday & Monday, 11pm Tuesday & Wednesday, and until 12am Thursday – Saturday.
Brunch is served each weekend from 10am to 3pm.

The Terrace

What is the capacity of the Terrace?
The Terrace can accommodate up to 38 guests for either a full service seated dinner or a standing cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres.

(Please be aware, that if it rains, the maximum we will be able to accommodate in the Snug Bar on our second floor, is 24 for a full service seated dinner, and 38 for a cocktail reception).

When is the patio available?
The Terrace will open from the May Long Weekend to Thanksgiving. Dates are subject to change pending weather conditions. Available seven days a week for both lunch and dinner events, bookings are made on a first come, first-serve basis, based upon availability.

Is there a charge to use the space?
There is no charge to use the Terrace, provided the minimum food and beverage expenditure is met. If the minimum spend is not reached, a room rental charge will be applied for the balance.

What is the required deposit?
The signed confirmation form and deposit of $500 is required to secure the date and space payable by credit card or company cheque. The balance must be paid by debit, credit card or cash at the conclusion of the event.

What is the cancellation policy?
Your deposit is fully refundable if notice of cancellation is received 48 hours or more in advance of the event, less than 48 hours notice the deposit is forfeited.

Who is my day of point of contact?
The manager on duty the date of your event will be your main point of contact. This person and their contact information will be provided to you in advance of your event.

When is the final guest count and menu selection due?
We require a minimum of four (4) days notice for menu selections, after which time we will not be able to guarantee your requirements.

How are beverage cost managed?
Non-alcohol and alcoholic drinks are charged based on consumption per drink. Cash bar option is available and will be billed out on consumption per drink.

What happens if it rains the day of my event?
Throughout the summer we will closely monitor weather conditions and if there is a chance of inclement conditions your party will be accommodated in our private upstairs Snug, our beautifully decorated second floor fully serviced bar.

How long do we have the space?
Events booked for lunch and brunch must vacate the Terrace by 4pm. You are welcome to determine your preferred arrival time from our opening time onwards.

As for evening events the space is available to you from 5pm onwards and you are welcome to determine your own preferred arrival time.

What are the bar service times on the Terrace?
The bar will be open to serve you until midnight Sunday – Wednesday, and until 2am Thursday-Saturday.

The service of food will be tailored to your requirements and serviced until 10pm Sunday & Monday, 11pm Tuesday & Wednesday, and until 12am Thursday – Saturday.

Can we play our own music?
We have our own in house Music system, which plays for our whole back patio including the Terrace.

Can we smoke on The Terrace?
Unfortunately smoking is strictly prohibited at The Oxley both inside and outside in accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act S.O 1994, c. 10 and its regulations.
